Blencathra 3rd February

The Northern Climbers

Blencathra Via Halls Fell 3rd February

Diary 03/02/13

Belncathra is the first impressive fell you see coming into the lakes on the A66. As you approach you can see Sharps edge on the East side from the A66. The best place to park is in Threlkeld, we started from the Blencathra Centre. From the Blencathra Centre it is a short half hour walk past Gatesgill to the foot of Halls Fell. Blencathra offers everything from steep incline walking, to grade 1-2 scrambling. With its impressive views across the Northern Fells Blencathra offers a great all round experience of climbing and have to say is my favorite climb so far.

Blencathra Across Keswick and Derwent Water

Halls Fell....and the top is up there through the clouds. Somewhere

Halls Fell did we take the easy route or the harder route?

The Hard Route like a total Boss

Mr Lee Roe on the Summit

As dangerous as it is beautiful, unfortunatly we diddnt attmpt it too much wind. Respect has to be given to Sharps Edge
